How it started
Zenico Racing started with two dads and their sons going karting for fun. It soon became a partnership between two families, Zenico Racing and FGKarting, learning from our own mistakes and sharing what we found with other parents.
That grew into a community of karting families on Instagram, YouTube and our website, sharing advice on everything from buying your first kart to getting ready for race day.
As our drivers got older, the questions changed. "Which kart?" became "When do we move to cars?" Karting to Cars is our answer: the same honest, parent-first approach, for the next step.
Today, Zenico Racing is the Jennings family: Andy (Dad), Emma (Mum) and Zak, our driver. Andy is usually the voice behind the camera and the content, and Emma is the mum of Zenico, looking after all the mum things that keep a racing family going. She's on camera a lot too, and viewers know her for her honest reactions to everything that happens to Zak on track, good and bad. We're proud that friends from those early days still race under the Zenico banner.
We're living it too. Our YouTube vlog has followed Zak's karting for years, and now it follows his move into cars. Watch episode 1.
Zak's story so far
Zak Jennings is the driver behind Zenico Racing. He's known in the paddock as "Bowling Ball" after too many tricky qualifying sessions followed by hard-fought drives through the field. He turned 16 in September 2026, and he's going straight into senior car racing.
Arrive-and-drive
It started with arrive-and-drive karting at Bayford Meadows, which is still our home club.
Owner karting
Next came a Honda 160 owner kart, then national Rotax racing. In 2024, Zak raced Rotax Inter in the UKC.
Rotax Junior Primo, 2025
Zak raced The Kart Championship as #69 and took three podiums in a row: P2 at Shenington, P2 at Glan-y-Gors and P3 at PF International. After four rounds he was second in the standings and chasing the vice-championship. Then a huge crash at Rowrah meant he couldn't continue, costing him the points that would have kept him in the fight. He still finished fifth overall. Full results
Junior Rotax, 2026
Zak's final karting season, racing two national championships at once: Super One and The Kart Championship. It was a year of injuries and mechanical trouble, but he completed both, took his first Super One podium (P3 at Shenington), and finished 8th of 48 overall in Super One despite missing two rounds. In The Kart Championship, one of the biggest Junior Rotax grids in the country, he finished 37th of 88 drivers.
First time in a car
In June 2026, Zak tested a Fiesta ST race car at Blyton Park, hitting around 90mph first time out. It's episode 1 of the vlog.
ARDS race licence
In November 2026, Zak does his ARDS training and test at Anglesey Circuit.
MINI Challenge, 2027
Zak has signed for a 2027 MINI Challenge ClubSport season with Daniel Truman Racing. He'll go straight from karts into senior cars and is expected to be the youngest driver on the grid.
